Child Dental Benefit Scheme

You could be eligible for no out of pocket costs for your child’s dental care!

The Commonwealth Child Dental Benefits Schedule offers assistance for dental treatment for children 0-17 years old who are covered by the scheme ie. those who receive the Family Tax Benefit from Medicare.

This schedule covers part or the full cost of most dental services for children. Orthodontic treatment may incur additional fees.

Dental care covered by CDBS includes:

  • check-up

  • x-rays if needed

  • cleaning

  • preventive treatment to keep teeth and gums healthy.

  • fissure sealants to prevent decay

  • fillings

  • extractions and

  • root canal treatment.
